I have been given an old desktop computer that somebody was throwing out as i want to use it for the odd sods that i dont want on my laptop.

Problem is i dont have the windows xp disk or boot disks. The computer has a sticker on with the product key - which i believe might mean that it is an OEM version?

Is there any way of restoring this computer so it is a fresh slate without the disks / too much expense??

    cheers

    Welcome to TSG....

Call the manufacturer of the computer and ask for the recovery disk set they might just send it to you for some shipping and handling.
