Hey, if I buy an OS that says can be installed only on one comp, does taht mean I can't format? Cause wont installing on this comp count as a install on a computer? Cause my bro can get WinXPPro for $15 I believe at a student price, but it says can install on 1 computer only....

In my experience reloading XP Pro and Home, Microsoft will allow you to reinstall the OS twice. On the third install it’ll ask you to contact Microsoft for a new product key. This doesn’t mean that you are legally allowed to install the OS on two different machines because you are not! This means you are able to reinstall it on the same machine. After contacting MS, they did not charge me for the new key, I just had to go through the standard Microsoft hoops.
