I heard that Direct X has horrible problems with security and such and heard from a friend that there was another program that is just coded differently and is just better all around. Problem that im having is that games that i play , seem to crash due to the newly upgraded Direct x 9. Just lookin for ideas or links or anything thanks

Do you have the latest driver - www.nvidia.com - April 1/04 update. With the equipment you have you should not be having problems.
Also, with XP make sure you cancel all unnecessary running programs. I've never had a problem with Direct X.

Ive been looking at Nvidia's site and i may have found out what the problem was , with the package that my video card came wtih , it came with the gainward 3d enhancer. Maybe its the drivers for that that i need to have downloaded rather than just the FX series of cards itself.
