I had a new Windows xp pro OPS installed on an older pc and it worked at the store where the technician installed it. When I try to open it at home , I get this error message after I see the Windows logo..in the middle of a black screen "Out of range!"
From microsoft support ,I learn that I needed to change the refresh rate on my monitor.
In safe mode I follow their instructions, but when I get to the monitor tab in settings, it does not give me any other options than "Use hardware default settings".
I wanted to change it to 60 HZ.
My contact at the store will not be there until next week, so if there's anybody that can suggest another resolution for this, I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you,
