Hey there.... I am new to this amazing site, just bought a new IBM Thinkpad, and want to get my contact list from Outlook (2000) on my Dell over to Outlook (2000) on the new system. Can someone tell me where to find this information on the Dell, so I can copy it, put it on my USB memory key, and then install it on my new computer?? Your help is much appreciated!!

I had the same issue once. This might be the low-tech way of doing it, but I e-mailed the contacts to my anonymous e-mail account from one machine, then retrieved them from the other.

This should take you a couple minutes tops. Open your address book and then go to the file menu and select export > address book (WAB). You can save this to a floppy or the hard drive and then copy to whatever media you like. On your new computer, open the address book and choose File > Import >Address book (WAB) and then choose your saved file. It should automatically import the entire contents of your address list.

    Good luck. (y)
