Hello,
I am having a security issue with sending large email attachments (anything larger than 250kb). I have checked our firewall & IP - and they are both working fine, it has come down to being the computer settings. We have 9 computers on network - 6 work, and 3 dont. Is there a way that I can print out settings to compare?
When you say security issue, what is the actual error or are the emails just stuck in the outbox?
What version of outlook are you running (and is it the same version on all the PCs)?
duh, just reread the title and you told us what version of outlook...
I'm not aware of outlook blocking outgoing attachments.
Are you running exchange or separate pop3 on each PC?
Thanks for your reply. We have pop accounts - but through webhosting. our pop is: ourwebsite.com - Maybe the security issue is on the internet settings because when we try to send an attachment through ourwebsite.com/webhosting it does not let us. It says that page could not be displayed.
That sounds more likely I reckon.
How about copying the pop3 settings from a working PC to one on the others and see what happens. I assume that they are different accounts on each machine.
Worth a quick call the tech support of the hosting company to confirm the correct settings and passwords etc. and any restrictions they may have placed on the accounts I reckon - nothing to lose.
