Does anyone know how I can set up a distribution list in Outlook 2002 so that recipients can see only the name of the distribution list in the TO box and not the names of the list members? I think that this is a new Outlook 2002 feature.

Generally, everyone puts "themselves" in the TO box, and the distribution list goes into the BCC.

lisbry,

You could create an entry in your address book with a Display name describing the distrubution list (ex. My Family) and assign your address to that name.

When you create the message enter "My Family" in the To: field and put the actual distribution list members in the BCC: field.

When the members of the distribution get the message, they will see "My Family" in the To: field.
