I now have 4 headings in the Folder List named Personal Folders, 3 of them are basic and have nothing in them. The 4th is my main list. How do I remove the other 3?
Tks

On my folder list in Outlook 2002 I have extra Personal Folder headings which do no contain any information. The 3rd one which contains all my folders is Outlook Today (Personal Folders). How do I delete the other 2.
Tks

As I vaguely recall, I solved that problem by right clicking on the ones I didn't want and choosing the Close option. I don't know if that deleted them or what but they're gone from the list and that was good enough for me.

In Outlook, go to Tools, E-mail accounts, pick the folder you want to get rid of then press Remove. When you are done press the Finish button.

Went to the Tools and then E-mail accounts. There is only one e-mail account but it shows 3 personal folders account and one archive folder account. How do I know which of the Personal Folders accounst I want to remove? Each time I highlite a folder it asks if I want to remove my main POP account.

Search your hard drive for *.pst
The files with nothing in them will be the small ones. Note the location and name of each one.
Close Outlook. Right click on the Outlook icon on your desktop. Click on Data Files, expand the filename column so you can see the entire path. Select the pst file you want to delete then click on remove. Repeat for each pst you want to disconnect. Then click close, close. Open Outlook and examine the results. If you are happy you can actually delete the pst files from their locations on the hard drive.
