I was able to backup all of my email files and contacts (if i had any), but unable to export the contacts that popup when you are creating an email.

For some reason, these were never stored in the contacts folder, but only in the too adress bar.

Those are stored in the Nickname list.

    Typically those are in the
    C:\Documents and Settings\USERID\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.nk2 file

where USERID is replaced by your actual userid.

thanks. I will check for that.

Also, do you know how to have those automatically store in contacts? I dont see any setting in the program to do so.

If you want a nickname to be in a contact, start an e-mail with that e-mail address, then right click on it and add to contacts.
