Outlook 2011 Authentication

    I am using Outlook 2011 for Mac. I just have started getting error messages that read "Authentication failed. Please check your user name and password for the account....."and checking the log it says "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password and 5.7.0 Error: authentication failed: authentication failure"
    The computer's been on automatic login since it was set up and I am using the correct username and password. I am going thru a wireless router if that matters.

    I Would appreciate any advice.

    Does the mail host have a web based system that you can try logging into? That will tell you for sure if the password is correct. If it doesn't work there then it has probably been reset due to too many bad login attempts by someone.
