Outlook 2002 (Office XP Suite) running under Windows XP Pro SP3 (recent--2 weeks ago) crashes when I click a message in "INBOX", if started in SAFE mode all functions work until I click on "Send/Receive", if started in "cleanviews" was slow & a dialog asked if I wanted to disable the "Outlook backup addin" because of 'experiencing a serious error' -I said yes -then a crash while waiting for it to fully open.
I have moved all messages from Inbox that were there when the problem began 4 days ago.
I have run "Repair" from original disk.
I ran the "inbox repair tool" (scanpst.exe).
I removed iTunes addin & disabled Windows Messenger integration.
Pst file is not too large (1,100,809 KB).
All crashes result in the BSOD with following error message:
    STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x804D9E08, 0xECE0F930, 0x00000000)
[the third group in paretheses has been 0xECD5D930, 0xEC2EC930, 0xEC50C930 but other groups stay the same] Does this message point to anything I can take action on?
Can I uninstall and reinstall OUTLOOK without losing my pst files?

    Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Yes you can reinstall it without losing the files but I doubt that will do anything.
You may just have to create a new profile and it should find the old pst file.
