Outlook e-Mail Question

    hi all

    can outlook be set-up to automatically notify me when a new e-mail arrives? if so how? and if not, is there a program that can?
    i have an always on connection and it would be very handy.

    Ummm it should be easy. Just have M$ set to play a message when you email comes in.
    The settings are in Control Panel/Sounds

    there is nothing in those settings that can help! what i want is for my PC to tell me i have new mail without the need to click the send & recieve button (you got mail sort of thing)

    I think you are talking about the "Check for new mail" setting.
    I have mine set to check for new mail every 5 mins.
