I have recently reformatted my machine and installed MS Office 2003 and use Outlook for my email. Recently I am getting an error as follows:
"MS Word is set to be your email editor. However Word is unavailable, not installed or not the same version as Outlook. The Outlook email editor will be used instead. An OLE registration error occurred. The program is not correctly installed. Run setup again for the program."
When I go to the tolls tab and the options tab I find the use Word for editing HTML messages is unchecked and I check it again but the error continues. I ran the Office setup disk and opted to repair the install this did not work. I then uninstalled office and reinstalled but the error is still there.

Appreciate any advice on how to fix this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Is Word installed? Can you open it successfully? Is it the same version as Outlook?

Hi yes Word works as it should and both apps came from the same Office 2003 disk.
