I'm using Outlook Express and receive a lot of junk Email. I know how to block individual email addresses, a lot of junk emails comes from @hotmail.com. Is there anyway to block all Emails from @hotmail.com?

Are you sending & receiving Hotmail on Outlook Express? Is that the way you have it set up?

    ok lets start over

do you receive your Hotmail in Outlook Express? Or are you receiving e-mail from hotmail users?

if its hotmail users e-mail you want to block, I don't see why. On each spam mail you receive ... you not only can block it you can also scroll down to a link to have e-mail stopped from being sent to you from that address.

Get ad-aware to see if spyware on your system is causing you to get junk e-mail. Run it once every 24 hrs.. delete anything it finds
go to http://www.lavasoft.de make sure you get the English version if thats your language choice.

I do not have a hotmail account. I do not use hotmail. I do not send or receive my own hotmail. The problem is that a lot of my junk email comes from places like

    [email protected]
    [email protected]
    [email protected]

whoever is sending it changes the email address each time, so blocking one email adress does not help.

    Steve

(BTW - I will get ad-aware and run it as suggested, Thanks)

I still would like to block ANYONE sending me email from hotmail

    Hiya

This may/may not work, as its usually for the name not email provider.

Tools | Message Rules | Mail

    Click New

In box 1, click Where the From Line contains people or whichever may work. You may have to play around.

In box 2, click Do Not Download From Server.

In box 3, click the highlighted word and type the name or account. As I said, not sure about accounts.

    Click Add. OK.

In box 4, New Mail rule #1

    OK

    Apply Now

Thats to also check if it works. OK

As I say, not 100% sure, bit that, I think, is the only way OE allows.

    Regards
