    Hi
I have Outlook Express 5.5, and 3 mail accounts, two of them are placed at yahoo.com, I have no problem reading them. But when Outlook tries to read my Hotmail account an error message says it can't read from http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp. This doesnÂ’t happen all the time, but most of the time.
The question: is there any other URL which I can configure Hotmail account to avoid this annoying messages?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

I dont have a fix for you, but I have the same problem on ocassion. I have found that with mine, the more I am attempting to do in Outlook before it finishes checking Hotmail, the more likely the error.

It must be some kind of bug then huh? We'll just have to wait for Outlook Express 6.0 ? :)

But hotmail can accept POP3 emails. Never tried getting hotmail on OE, but I know it's possible.

    Hi eddie
Its strange, suddenly it started to work ok, like if the problem was on the MS servers. Everything was going real smooth, until a few days ago I just cant download my emails from yahoo! The only way is visiting the web page directly. Must be some server problem?

Whatever.. if you have any clues, Ill be more than thankful.

    Hiya

It might be the server side, like you said. Did you have a look at that last link that I gave?

    Regards

    eddie

    Dude I fixed it!!:D
The problem with Yahoo is that I had a corrupt file in the inbox folder, I ran Scandisk and everything is back to normal.

    Thanks anyway eddie.
