I have just changed my password with with my internet provider but when I tried to change it on outlook express it is not accepting this. I would be most grateful if someone could run me through this. My os is xp and I am fairly new to computing.

Welcome to Tech Support Guy Forums
Is this what you tried? If not post back with a detailed description of what you tried and what kind of error message(s) you get.

In OE->Tools->Accounts->Properties. On the Servers Tab, you type in your new password. Check off Remember this password. That password is only if you are using email from your new ISP. If it is an old POP3 email account that is still active, you would not change your password.
