Sometimes when I open outlook express and attempt to connect to get my mail, the password box doesnt fully refresh or something and outlook kinda freezes up, their is like a blank box where the password box used to be and the outline of the connection status box is open behind it but no connecting, and no dialogue, just a blank box. Also, when I try to click the X on the box to close it, my mouse dissapears when it moves over the box, however i can still click the x. Whenever this happens, I can usually reopen outlook immeadiatly after and it works like normal. Whats up?

Outlook Express is closely integrated with Internet Explorer so sudden squirrely behavior of either one makes spyware the first thing to suspect.

If you haven't already, download, install, immediately update and then run Spybot and/or AdAware. Read the help files to familiarize yourself with how they work. I recommend you use them both since each tends to find things the other misses. Let them clean up any spyware found.

Then, to be doubly sure, download and run CWShredder.

Please post back to let us know if that worked.
