I can't get Outlook Express to work. When I try to access it to fix it I get the following message:
"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\smimn.exe is not a valid Win32 application."
My operating system is Wim 95.
What does this this mean and who do I fix this?

Have you already tried removing it in Add/remove software, and reinstalling it?

I'm afraid to uninstall Outlook Express(MSOE), because like IE5.5, I may not be able to reinstall it. MSOE is not listed on the Packard Bell Master CD. I have run the Master CD several times but it fails to fix it. One of the sugestions, was to edit the shortcut. I have neaver done that, how do I go about that?

Hi,

Rightclick the shortcut you click in order to start up Outlook Express.
Choose 'properties' from the context menu.
What exactly does it say at 'path'?

Highlight it, and choose 'copy', then paste it into your post here.

Grtz.

At Outlook Express Properties I have a tab of "General" and one of "Shortcut". There is no "path" on either one.

you're looking for the 'target' on the shortcut tab
open the attachment for a screenshot

Hello again, thanks for responding,
to Tony Klein: I can't post the results because I'm not at my system being that I am unable to access the net. I access the net at the local library.

To jbcalg,
Target is as follows:
"C:\Program Files\OutlookExpress\msimn.exe"
