What causes the error message 'This message could not be sent. An Error has occured', when I try to send messages from OE. Sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't.
    Any ideas?

Do you have any more details about the message you get? Can you click on a details tab when you get the error message for more info?

    Nope.
That's the exact message. It pops up in its own little box.

Do you see a details button you can click on?

    SLM302002,

    In OE go to Tools > Accounts > Mail > {Highlight your account} > Properties > General

Make sure there is something in the Name: and E-mail Address: fields.

There is something in both boxes that you mention.
Anyone else have a clue as to why this does this??

When you go to Tools > Accounts and click the mail tab, do you only have one account listed?

Click on Outbox on the right and if you have anything in the box, delete it.
What antivirus software do you use?

Do you use a router, which one?

Do you have a firewall ( like black ice, zone alarm)?

Did not quite understand this question.

No router that I know of. McAffee virus software, which is up to date. No firewall.

    wow, I confused myself.
Under local folders on the left, click on outbox and see if you have any item in it on the right, if so, delete it.

Well, it's nice to know someone hasn't figured this one out with me yet.
I've been racking my brain - going through books and online help trying to figure this out. I need to send email and I can't. OE is my email program and when it was working correctly - I liked it.
Please - any help anyone can give me, I need to fix this.
    Thanks,
    Shawna
