outlook express & hotmail

I have windows live hotmail and if possible how can i get my e-mails to go from windows live hotmail into my outlook express. this is the only e-mail I have :confused: and if i can get it to work in my outlook express i would like to.. Is there a way to do that?

Hi and welcome…

To the best of my knowledge, you cannot do this if you are using a FREE Hotmail account. This also applies to Yahoo accounts that are free.

You may be able to get a third party program that will act as a “medium” between the two and make it work. I remember seeing such programs out there, but I cannot remember what the names of them were or which provider they worked with either. Maybe a search on Google?

I would like to ask a simple question perhaps. You say that you only have the hotmail acct.! Do You mean that your ISP doesn't provide you with an E-mail acct? You know, like [email protected] or whatever?

madd74.... Nope, you are correct. They discontinued it. It works with Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007. Unfortunately, you have to install the add-in for it and you also have to fill in the VERIFICATION window each time you try to send a message too.

yeah, I have it working in my O 2003, but I know there is massive difference between O and OE :)
