I have installed McAfee Internet Security. Not sure if that applies to my issue...but thought it was worth a mention.

Whenever I log onto my Outlook express for the first time the incoming mail server and account name change to I presume some default setting.

I change it back to what it should be, apply it and everything is fine until I relog on.

Any ideas on how to get my correct settings to stick?

Does McAfee Internet Security have an email scanning feature? If so, try disabling it and try OE again. If that fixes it, you'll at least have identified the culprit. If you want to keep the scanning, poke around in MIS's options to see if it can be configured to work correctly.

If it's not MIS, do you have an anti-virus program running full time? If so, disable its email scan and see if that solves the problem. If it does, poke around in the AV program's settings to see if you can find a way to configure it to work correctly.

So an email scan program will reconfigure your incoming mail server info? It actually resets my account name to my email address, and changes my incoming server name to a numeric setting.
