Outlook Express & Internet Explorer Scrolling

    Hi, I have a problem with Outlook Express & Internet Explorer acting erratically lately. When I try to scroll on the side bar arrow it moves real fast to the bottom and all buttons I try to click in the tool bar also are acting erratically in that sometimes I have to click two or three times (ex: clicking the delete button etc.) . It does the same thing while in Internet Explorer. When trying to scroll in that I am unable to scroll as it moves quickly to the bottom of the screen no matter how slow I try to go. I have smooth scrolling checked in the options box and this just started happening all of a sudden. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    What Operating System are you running and what version of Internet Explorer/Outlook Express?

    Hi Del,

    The operating system is Window's ME and I have Internet Explorer and Outlook Express 6.0

    Let's try this first:
    Start > Settings > Control Panel. Double click Add / Remove Programs. Look for Microsoft Internet Explorer and Internet Tools. Single click it and click add/remove at the lower right.
    Select Repair and follow the prompts.

    Del, thanks that seemed to have worked......I posted a thread on here several days ago which several have tried to help me with no avail. I am unable to download any programs (exe.) as after it shows it's downloading a white blank page pops up with a rectange in the upper left-hand corner. Ocassionally, I am able to download them in Netscape but Internet Explorer is my default. I never use to have that problem until I upgraded Internet Explorer 6.0 from 5.5. I'ts bugging me and rather inconvient not to be able to download any upgrade to some programs I have nor download a program. Any suggestions?

    Go to Start > Setting > Control Panel. Double click on Add Remove Programs. Click on Microsoft Internet Explorer and Internet Tools.
    Click on Add/Remore at the lower right and click on restore to previous windows configuration. Click ok and it will restore back to the previous window IE version you had.
