Outlook Express Spell Checking

I am running OE6 on WinXP Pro and have MS Word 97 installed. However, the spell checker in OE6 does not work. I have been unable to find a way to get it operational. Does anyone know of a way to "fix" the OE6 spell checking???

I just had the same problem. After following the instructions and rebooting, my spell check started working again.
