Win XP pro...Outlook Express recieves o.k. but won't send. This is with Anti Virus prog disabled and Internet Explorer working o.k. Clean virus scans with AVG and Trend Micro Housecall. Fails with new account in Outlook Ex also. Also fails in "safe mode" boot. Microsoft Pay support no help so far. Nor Comcast.net ???

What's the error code, when OE won't send?

    What AV?
Some AVs route the mail and place a localhost address in the pop/smtp fields - just disabling the AV won't put the settings back to the way they were.

Check the account settings in OE Tools - Accounts - Mail Properties.

Check the error code - could be your ISP
