Is it possible to delete "Local Folders" from O.E.; or, in the alternative, fix it so Local Folders will receive no posts. I prefer to receive all incoming posts via Hotmail, and I hate when entering O.E. that I must wait while all incoming posts to Local Folders are being downloaded.

Hi MRBEE

No, it is not possible to delete the Local Folders in Outlook Express, but you can remove that account from receiving mail when Outlook Express is started.

In Outlook Express,
Tools > Accounts > Mail
Select the mail account you don't want downloaded.
Click the Properties button.
On the General tab, uncheck: Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing
Apply, OK to save and close.

You can also set Outlook Express to *not* automatically download messages when started.
Tools > Options > General tab
Uncheck: Send and receive messages at startup
Apply, OK to save and close.

Let us know if that works for you.

Your instructions did the trick. Thanks. I only wish I hadn't waited so long to put this question to this forum.
