Hi,

You could very well get that error when the file appears to be there, but is either corrupted or has the wrong version.

First, have your computer scanned on line for viruses, to be able to rule that out at least. Try Trend Micro HouseCall

If you come out clean, restore the original dll to C:\Windows\System from your Windows CD-ROM

Here's how to do that: How to extract files in Windows 98 and Windows Me

Finally, when you type the name of the dll to be restored, take care you type it right: there's riched.dll, riched20.dll and even riched32.dll.
And they're all different...

Good luck,

Hi,

You told me this in a PM:

"l have two vireses, haptime.a and nimda.a-o, the haptime l have deleted with trend online but the nimda l am not so sure, advise please. "

Try the Panda Quick Remover

It checks for, removes, and repairs registry damage caused by the following viruses: Goner, Qaz, BadTrans, Vote, SirCam, Anna Kournikova, Help, KakWorm, Navidad, ShellScrap, Happy, Msinit, Klez, Funlove, Nimda, Cool Notepad, I love you, Matrix, Pretty Park, Verona.

It does very well on Nimda, I'm told.

Good luck,
