Hi plopy

Do you have email scanning turned off for your anti-virus program?
Email scanning does not offer additional protection as long as you keep your AV program updated.

Have you checked the configurations in your Firewall to allow Outlook access to the internet?

If you have done the above, please double check.

Check your ISP's web page to see what their status is for their email servers.

What Firewall and Anti-virus programs are you using?

Hi EAFiedler

Have turned off virus scanning of emails, and it still happens

im a bit of a technophobe im afraid so dont really know where to look for the rest of the info u suggested.

Would any of it be relevant as it will happily send mail to (seemingly) non web based servers???
