I have Outlook running minimized most of my day. Is there a way to have Outlook 2000 to display more information in the "New Message Notification" box that comes on-screen when a new email arrives? I'd like the sender and subject line to show, so I can choose to either hit "Yes" and open the message or hit "No" and check it later without ever having to switch to Outlook.

I'm hoping there is a plug-in or utility that would alter the existing notification box with sender and subject information. I've seen programs that make a system tray pop-up with that info, but that's not really what I want.

    Any ideas??

I'm not aware of anything other than the 3rd party apps like the ones you have ruled out... But if there IS a way to do you will probably find it here---->SLIPSTICK
