I have Outlook 2000 and it says there are 12 new messages and I can't find them anywhere. When I recieve new messages the counter goes up to 13. However these 12 messages do not appear anywhere.
Where could they have gone?? Did they ever exist? Did the counter just not reset itself??
Have you looked in the deleted messages field? If you find that they are in there, then you may have the sender's address logged in the "Blocked senders" list. Go into (from the tool bar) Tools | Message Rules | Blocked Senders List... and see if the sender(s) are listed in there.. if so and you want to receive further mail from them, then either uncheck or delete them from the list. It could of course be that it's just spam and Outlook has recognized this.
A filter was on. We removed it and did a clear all and got rid of it. I hate it when I miss stupid stuff.
Thanks for the reply
