Outlook office 365 transfer

My laptop died. Can access the odd file with difficulty. Buying new laptop. How do I manage to transfer the outlook address book folder to new computer. The email folder is no problem as it's IMAP so easy to import. The address book folder contains about 100 + record cards of contact details. Help please!

My laptop is pretty well dead so I cannot load outlook in order to export it. I may, just may, be able to access the outlook data file. Where is this and how can I use that to load into a new install of office 365 outlook?

Just copy the PST file to a external device and then import it within Outlook on the new machine.

There is NO need in doing a export on the old machine, just copy the pst file.

I understood that .pst file was for earlier versions. It's now something similar to ODT?

PST is for a POP type of an account and OST is for IMAP type of an account.
They are about the same age!

Note: I use only PST as I do not sync email and etc. with other devices.

Thanks. Interestingly I managed to piece together my lost contacts file. They were in a pst file despite accounts being on IMAP! All resolved now.
