I am having a problem setting up Outlook 2002 to work with MS Exchange.

When I type the server name and the user name, Outlook cannot communicate with the server.

All other network settings seem okay.

The set up works fine on Windows 98 workstations.

    Any clues?

Can you ping the Exchange server by name and IP address?

I can ping the server by name and get a reply.

When I ping the server's WINS address 10.0.0.2 it replies.

However, when I ping the external IP address, it doesn't respond.

    What's up.
