Hello all - I have Exchange 2K running on a public IP. I have users in outbuildings desiring access using Outlook 2K through a MS Proxy 2.0 server... Each 2K Proxy is a GC and DC for that building. I have MSPclient on user machines.

I have looked at the MS docs and modified the registry on the Exchange 2K machine to force the IP ports for global catalog requests, info store, NSPI and SA RFR interfaces. I opened the TCP/IP ports on the proxy 2.0 server to allow these ports in/out of the building. I still can not contact the Exchange 2K server through the proxys.

Are there other ports I need to force/set on Exchange/proxy? Anybody else trying this madness???

    Thanx for your help!

Look at your proxy logs for errors when you try to access the exchange server, this will give you some kind of clue as to what is going on. Is your server using POP and SMTP....open port 25 in both directions for SMTP and 110 for POP if you are using it.
