Outlook Won't Save Rules for Sent Items Folder

I'm using Outlook 2010 with Windows 10 for my small business.
Outlook is set up with multiple e-mail identities and multiple open PST folders, each one for a different business activity or different group of clients.
Rules for sorting incoming mail into various PST folders work well.
Copies of messages created by replying or forwarding a message in any folder are saved in the same folder, works well.
Copies of messages created by clicking the New E-mail button are saved in the Sent Items folder, works well but I want to use rules to then sort some of these messages from the Sent Items folder into other folders in order to keep all messages - in and out - from the same client in one folder.
So I use Rules Wizard to set up rules to move messages created and sent using the New E-mail button from the Sent Items folder where Outlook automatically saves them to my client message folders but the rule only works the first time, it moves all desired messages currently in the Sent Items folder to the target folder but after that the rule stops working.
Any new copies of sent messages going into the Sent Items folder are not sorted into other folders as per the rules I have set. I then have to periodically manually move all messages sent to each client out from the Sent Items folder into the client folder.
Is there a work-around or switch for this or am I expecting too much from the software?

I don't know if you can move the message itself. But I do know that you can have Outlook place a copy of the message in the folder you desire.

CLick on Rules. THen Manage Rules and Alerts. Create a new rule using the wizard. There you can specify a new rule "Sent By You"
Set to create a copy in the appropriate folder based on whichever criteria you need.
