    Just looked at Outpost firewall . Could someone out there in the zone give me a little input on this.
    Problems,uses, ...ect. How good is it?

    I was in the U.S.N. with a skimo ,Ted Cavota from Nome or Fairbanks.
    He told me his parents had a store there. If you happen to come by any info on him, I'd love to contact him, it's been 25 years.

    i have heard mixed things about xp firewall but it is better then nothing until i find something better

    IMHO,
    and I'm no pro at firewalls or anything, but you asked for input. I've run several (outpost, zonealarm, mcafee, norton, tiny, and a couple others I can't remember the names of)

    Yes - pretty much uninstall all other firewalls before installing a new one.

    I think for the most part, all firewalls do the same thing, it's a matter of setting them up. I thought outpost was a little more difficult than zonealarm, but much easier than mcafee. It did a good job at keeping things out without much tweaking, but when it came to setting up specific things like trusted zones and applications I thought zone was much easier to work with.

    well, that's my 2 cents worth.
