    Specs:

    Sony Vaio FZ21Z
    Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7500. 2.20ghz
    3gb RAM
    Windows 7

My laptop heats very fast after about 10 mins of having it on, even when I'm not running any demanding programs. Currently my CPU usage is at 25% and it's giving off a ridiculous amount of heat.

    Any tips to reduce this?

    Thanks.

It may need to go to the shop if you can't find any impediments to air flow. Is the fan running?
