overclocking Athlon XP 2200

    Hi, i was just wondering if it would be possiable to over clock my pc. i have got a athlon XP 2200 i think (Its 1800Mhz)

    Also what temp should these run at

    Safe temperature is under 60C at full load.

    Whether you can OC or not depends on what other hardware you have.

    What motherboard are you useing?

    im using an asus motherboard but cant recall the model number.

    I just raised my FSB and lowered my multiplier. That gave me more bang than the actual OC did. I wound try running the FSB at 166 and the multiplier at 11 and see if it boots.
    If it booted up then I would run prime95 on it to check the settings. Raising the FSB is the better way to go IMO.
