Guys.. Working on a Dell 1100 laptop for a customer. It shuts down periodically from overheating. Average running temp at idle is 65c but will go up to 80+ and then shut off.. Heat sink and ducts are clean, fan is working as it's supposed to, cleaned and applied a new coat of thermal grease.. I even tried installing
I8kfanGUI and tweaking settings.. it's still way too hot.. anyone have any suggestions or is this a sign of the cpu failing?
