I have been using Kazaa Lite for sometime, but was wondering if anyone could recommend any other good p2p software that is not full of spyware and viruses

winmx has been totally spyware-clean for me for 3 weeks now. (i've settled on winmx and k-lite exclusively after some miserable experiences elsewhere). it's a lot slower (generally) than k-lite to actually download, but most things do eventually show up in my stocking a few mornings later. it's resources seem to be broadening, too-- it has yielded gold on some pretty obscure searches.
but i'm curious about those tweaks. will give them a look.

curiosity killed the winmx. almost. tried those tweaks almost exactly-- or exactly, actually, although it seemed my bandwidth is a little greater (from the interesting speedtest sites- wide range of results, even from test sites in my geographic area) than the tweaker's.
once the tweaks were applied, the few downloads that would even display had disappeared completely (even if they did connect, although far fewer than normal would) by the time i returned a few minutes later to check their progress.
fortunately winmx does allow you to return to the basic default settings. once i did that things got back to normal.
not knocking the guy's advice, but cautioning against the urge for quick fixes-- maybe they're not for everybody.
