switched my laptop on the other day and this message came up

"windows cannot load the locally stored profile. possible causes include insufficient security rightd or a corrupt local profile.

Detail - An I/O operation initiated by the registry failed unrecoverably. the registry could not read in, or write out, or flush one of the files that contain the systems image of the registry."

this means absolutely mothing to me!

it now loads in a temp profile, software installed is still there but no documents of mine. i have tried doing a system restore for two different date and times but both failed and lappy loaded in a temp profile again.

i've tried browsing the net but it's all computer langauge so i was majorly confused. lol. anyone have any suggestions as to what i could try, otherwise i think i'm going to buy a new laptop as this one is quite old now! but it would be nice if i could get it working again so i can retrieve my documents etc!

    many ta's.x
