After about 20 minutes on the internet I start to get this 'Page is not available' message for every web page I try to download. The only solution is to disconnect and redial. Sometimes I have to restart the computer. My ISP doesnt seem to have a clue. Very frustrating . Any suggestions?

go to http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ , and download 'Hijack This!'.
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log somewhere, and please copy & paste its contents to the forum.

It will possibly show issues deserving our attention, but most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.
Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.

It sounds like a firewall problem

I'm not really sure what the problem may be, but to trouble shoot, I'd run some tests. Perhaps try PC Pitstop's online computer analysis to see how your machine stacks up. Then check to make sure you don't have a virus at TrendMicro's Housecall

I will say it sounds like a server problem or line problem if it works for awhile then stops. Maybe your modem is defective?
