Paging file size, bigger the better?

Hello,
like the title says, bigger the better?

Right now i have starting size at 800mb and 1000 max
Should i make it more? would that make my computer faster?

Hi PODNickerz,

Theorically, it will be sufficient to set the minimal page file size to ( your RAM * 1.5 ).
If you have a 512MB RAM, the minimal size of the page file will be 768MB.
Also, it is recommanded to have the page file on another partition than those dedicated to the system.
Personnally, I created a partition only used by the page file, just the same as the Linux SWAP partition.

Would having it on another partition improve performance?
Would it wise having it on another hardrive without an OS?
