paint autorun on startup

    when I start my PC running on Windows 98, after the desktop appears, the "PAINT" program starts, I have check the startup folder it was not there , how can I stop this program from running during start up

    Welcome to TSG.
    Did you check startup in system configuration utility,
    start/ run/ (type in) msconfig/ok/startup the look for paint, if it's there uncheck it then ok, and restart when prompted, at boot you will see "selective startup", check don't show me this again.
