    Hey everyone,

In a nutshell, over thanksgiving my computer got a rogue a/v virus and basically it occupied itself on part of the hard drive and hid all of the files. So...being a novice in computer related issues, I paid Best Buy to fix it, and thankfully, after more than a week, they were able to and save all of my files!

The only problem after getting the computer back is that those basic accessories seem to be completely gone, as in, even if I search for them they are not anywhere to be found...I could go back to Best Buy and ask them about it, but I wanted to check here first in case there is an easy fix, before I waste anyone's time.

Other things were missing too, but so far most of it has been redownloadable. I guess these things were infected and had to be removed? But I was wondering if there was a way to get the accessories back...The solution I found online was to do a system restore but I cant do a system restore bc that file in System Tools is missing.

    Thanks all :)

I'm not sure why this was moved, just to reiterate, I don't have the virus on my computer anymore. Geek Squad removed it and installed WebRoot, and I'm just trying to retrieve these random files back that were removed in the process

if you paid Geek Sqaud to fix it the go back & ask for a refund or get them to fix it properly
