Panasonic Toughbook detects wireless but cannot get on the internet

    My laptop computer cannot log on to the wireless connection at work it says Speed: 54Mbps....Connected....Excellent. But no internet.

    I went to Device Manager> Network Adapters

    Cisco systems VPN Adapter has a red X

    also

    Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC has a red X

    Please help!!!

    one more thing:

    Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection has no red X

    Uninstall the Cisco VPN to start, since that's a known issue that may block your netowrk access.

    Reboot the system.

    Right click on the Realtek NIC and select enable.

    See if you can connect using a wired or wireless connection.
