Hi all,

I've just began using Panda Titanium Antivirus 2005 to replace my Norton Antivirus 2005 (because the later was a system resource hog). My system performance improved tremendously but I do have a few problems with Panda AV 05.

Whenever I exit (Sigames) Football Manager 2005, Titanium Antivirus stops working and cannot be restarted. I can't get the program to start from its icon on the system tray. However, I can right click and close it. But I cannot start it again from the start menu. The only way is to restart the computer to get the software working again.

I've searched through Panda's FAQs and Troubleshooters on their site to no avail. I have looked through various forums and posts but could not find anyone with a similar problem to mine.

Can someone help?

Thanks...

Have you checked in task manager to make sure that it isn't still a running process after being closed?

Hi All! Thanks for your quick replies.

Big-K: All processes related to Panda AV 2005 are closed after I close the program but I still can't restart it without restarting the computer.
Is it possible that FM 2005 has a conflict with Panda?

golferbob & beginner123: Thanks for the utilities but I can't use them. I installed Norton AntiVirus as part of Norton SystemWorks 2005. So what I did was to just remove the Anti Virus segment of Norton SystemWorks (NSW). The programs you recommend would clean all of SystemWorks away (which I do not wish to do). Is there any other cleaning tool simply aimed at the Norton AntiVirus segment of NSW2005? I do realise that ccApp is running and does that belong only to Norton Anti Virus or all of NSW2005?

Hope for all your replies... thanks

Junialum, I was in the same boat as you afew months ago, Iwhated shot of NAV, but whated to keep system works, I found the best way round for me was to uninstall all, with the toys these good guys have posted, then reinstall norton system works, But do a custom install leaving out NAV, this way you will have all but not that monster NAV

J:
How about uninstalling NSW, get your computer up & running, then install NSW without NAV? Yes, a lot of work, but it can be done.

The experts for conflicts with Panda are at Panda tech support. Email only, but they have promptly responded to my requests for assistance.

Using your favorite search engine, search on:
"panda" "football manager" conflict OR conflicts OR problems OR compatibility OR incompatibilities

Use OR, not or.

Best of success.

I recently spoke with a Panda sales rep. She said Panda now has live, stateside human tech support.
