At last, had some time to reduce the resolution from circa 2 meg per pic to something more reasonable.

Into the entrance hall: that piece of furniture is in fact the Bottom of the other piece. About 200 years old.

    Thanks, Ash.

Yes, it is very quiet. The house was originally built about 200 years ago and a French family bought it as a wreck 37 years ago and restored and modernised it, whilst keeping as many of the original oak beams and features as possible.

In a tiny hamlet five minutes from where the battle of Agincourt was fought and for once, we (the English) beat the French!

The road in front is very narrow and on three sides, we are surrounded by cows.

***** crow in the morning and that's about it!

However, it is only about 15 minutes from a town called Fruge, with all one could want and probably 25 mins. from Hesdin, which is a super larger town, with a cobbled square which has a fabulous market on Thursdays. Fresh veg and fruit straight from the farms.

Also, we are only about 25 mins from the sea. Long beaches of pure light yellow sand. Best of all worlds.

Can't wait to be there, permanently.

    Nice weekend.

    Paq
