I found a posting on another forum and it worked. Paragon Drive Backup 8 available free for a while. This is the replacement for their Exact Image 7 program and it creates images similar to Ghost and Acronis.

There are two links needed. One downloads the program in zip format and the other link is for the free registration code.

    Can't beat the price.

They must have shut it down. The registration code was not available today. Yesterday, I downloaded and installed the program and it runs fine.

I got in again this evening and could access the download and free registration code.

Must have been an overloaded server earlier when I tried.

    John

I still have the downloaded files on my computer and can send them.

The new Paragon Drive Backup 8 is their replacement for Exact Image 7 and I was able to access it again this evening after not being able to access the site early in the day.

The links are in a posting above.

I think or for me if I go here to http://kb.paragon-software.com/paragon/templ/221.jsp you can Sign in to your account with the LOGIN name you use and that would be the email address you used and then the PASSWORD they have you.
Your then see all the software that you have gotten and register with them.

Your see a Paragon Exact Image 7.x SE update too.

Here is the link I have nut it may not work for you.

    http://kb.paragon-software.com/paragon/templ/88.jsp?pd_id=849&_pd_id=1207&dist_id=384&build_id=710

I started the downloaded and got this from the properties of the download and I think it will download the Paragon Exact Image 7.x SE update.

I did a backup with Paragon Drive Image 8se this evening. It worked fine after I figured out that you select what you want to do and then press "Apply".

It does not seem to allow browsing and restoration of individual files or folders nor does it tell how to create a boot disk. I will keep searching for these functions.

I finally managed to download Drive Backup, register it and install. Thanks for the help! I did the backup and stored it to so called Backup Capsule.

In the upper bar Tools I found Explore Image function which gave the possibility to browse the image and then I even extracted few file from the image.

I looked through the Drive Backup web site and found few flash presentation: http://www.drive-backup.com/home/personal/customer_exp.htm There I found detailed instructions how to explore the image and how to make bootable CD. tomorrow I'll try create a bootable disk and test.
