    Hi ALl

Can anyone offer me some advice on what product to use for controling internet access to my children on a PC connected to the www through a home network.

Server PC is Me, kids PC is XP and I am using Intel Wireless networking. How and what should I use to control access to the www on the XP machine?

    Ta

Are you trying to block access to the internet, or filter the access so the children will not get into inappropriate sites?

Until we went to a full blown filtering proxy server at work (I am an admin for a public library), we used cybersitter

    http://www.cybersitter.com/

    It is about $40.00.

IE has a content advisor, but I found that it did not do a very good job filtering.

We use Norton Internet Family Security and it is quite good.
There are four different levels and many other features.
The levels are Child, Teenage, Adult, and supervisor. I believe
Norton NIS is compatible with XP. In a few cases I believe the
product is a little overprotective. There have been a few times I had to review and release a site for the teenager to view and use. But...I much rather have it over block then under.
