parents friend

    i installed arents friend on my pc when someone on this fourum said it was goood....i dont really like it so i wanna get rid of it

    there is no uninstall thing, no add/remove, & i i deleted teh folder and it still works
    i even tried searching for parents friend on my pc and then deleting those...but it still opens
    i have windows xp hoome and parents friend v. 5.8

    o to http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip , and download 'Hijack This!'.
    Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

    When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
    Press that, save the log somewhere, and please copy & paste its contents to the forum.

    It will possibly show issues deserving our attention, but most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.
    Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.

    There must be an uninstall, but with all thes e net nanny type programmes it is password protected and would be somwhere in it's menu

    the program would be no good if the intended users (kids) could get round it by uninstalling from control panel everytime they wanted to use a forbidden part of it
