parity error

    I reformatted a computer then while reinstalling xp onto the computer the plug was knocked out of the wall and now when i start the computer it says hardware malfunction nmi: parity check/memory error system has halted.help please :mad:

    Try re-seating your memory (Ram) sticks.

    If that doesn't work, then remove any add in cards you have. (Soundcards etc) and try adding them one at a time to try and diagnose the error.
